Was your info stolen from casino records? I'm having a terrible time right
now with an ID theft issue that has come out of nowhere and I am amazed at how
little cooperation I am getting from anyone. It's almost like it has become so
common, that no one believes you anymore. I find it's like trying to prove a
negative and I haven't a clue how to combat it. I am on disability and can not
afford an attorney. Without one, there are many places that won't even speak
to me or give me any information.

This is an area you also must be very careful in when you are looking for assistance or ways to protect yourself fro ID theft. While I am not an expert, I have worked i the Financial Services area for over 25 years. We spend a lot of time and money educating our clients on how to protect yourself against this. Go to Abagnale.com. I have been to many of his presentations and he also has a book on ID Theft. Most likely available through Amazon. Unfortunately the material that guides you through what to do when you've become a Victium of ID theft is in my office and I'm leaving to LV tomorrow for the week. If you would like e-mail me privately and I'll follow-up with that additional information when I return from LV.

Good Luck
Marti

Like you, I do not know where the theft originated and probably never
will. I also thought that after months of letters and documents (with
legal help) everything was cleared up till I purchased a new house a
little less than a year ago. Now I believe it is over but I have a ton
of backup just in case.
