I saw the end of the tunnel

I was tempted today to take a photo of the first good hand I've had in a
month but how silly to photograph deuces (at deuces). Anyway I'm hoping
that it may be the beginning of the end of a long losing spell.

It's a start.

Although I've been playing for about four years, most of my play is at a local casino featuring pick'em. Pick'em is game that you could play for many many years and not get a royal. But even a straight flush playing at the dollar level pays $1,199. So even that is photoworthy IMO. I keep a photo of my one and only straight flush at pick 'em as a backgound on my cellphone.

I only go to Vegas once or twice a year, and while there mostly play FPDW or LDW.I typically mix up the denominations from 25c to 50c to $1.00. One time last year while playing LDW at the dollar level I hit four deuces.

If I had hit the four deuces while playing FPDW at the 25c level it would have only payed $250; not much to get excited about IMO. But if playing LDW it pays $625 at the 25c level and I happened to hit the four deuces while playing LDW at the $1.00 level. So the four deuces payed $2,500.

So there's four dueces and then there's four deuces and depending what game you are playing can make it more photoworthy than others.

If it makes you feel any better, I still have yet to ever hit a royal (that's the bad news). The very good news is that despite that I still am up a small amount overall thanks to many 4oK at pick 'em at $600, one SF at $1,199 and a few four deuce hits at higher denomination (50c and $1.00) at LDW.

Even a $250 payout is nice at 25c FPDW. You won't get rich but at least it will keep you in the game so you can work your way up the foodchain.
