I must be hexed

On Sunday, I visited the Argosy Casino in Indiana for a day trip to
play Video Poker. I arrived at 12:45p.m. and played my favorite
game, $1 double double bonus, progressive. It was at $5200 when I
sat down. Every seat was taken but I finally got a seat. I played
for 5 hours, didn't hit 1 four of a kind, played same machine
thinking it had to hit something, lost $2500, ran up 8800 points.
I've never had a cold streak like this, didn't see much of anything
being hit anywhere. The lady next to me hit 1 four of kind in three
hours, Q's. I'm quite skeptical of this place. The progressive hit
for $5800 at 5:30p.m.

But then again, I went to Mirage in Vegas in January and for three
days, had 40,000 points, but very few 4 of a kinds, playing same
game, no 4A's with kicker, had 2 4A's without the kicker, lost
$7,000.

Last year, went to LV, Mirage, 4 times for long weekends, Argosy 4
times, had 11 Royals. Must be payback time. Are machines getting
tight or tricked up or am I just in a bad losing streak?

This is pretty much what happened to me in December. I arrived in LV
with a decent (for me) bankroll. I did ok on a very slow quarter
10/7 DB machine at the California on my first day and added another
$300 to the pot. Then the bottom dropped out. The next two days, I
played 10/7 DB and 9/6 DDB at several different casinos and couldn't
hit a 4ok to save my life. Bankroll gone. Oh well.

But I got a nice jacket at the Cannery! Hoo boy!

you need a Lexus size bankroll to play dollar double double bonus
using:
http://www.wizardofodds.com/videopoker/analyzer/CindyProg.html
and assuming 9/6 ddb with double royal progressive (1600) the bankroll
required for 10% risk of ruin is 8503 bets or 8503 x $5 = $42,515 for
five coin dollars
