I hope I'm here when they take the next logical step

Desultory casino customer attendance has prompted the Tuscany to
unveil (heh, heh) the newest innovation in table gaming: the "Bikini
Blackjack" pit. Four tables are arranged in a circle near the front
entrance; overhead is a helpful sign with pictures of five smiling
lovelies in bikini tops, presumably the actual dealers. According to
the sign, the pit will be open 6 PM to 2 AM.

Now, this made me muse on a couple of questions:

Since attractive young women who look good in bikinis rarely, if ever,
lower themselves to doing low-paid drudge work (such as dealing
blackjack), one has to surmise that these boob-bobbling blonde and
brunette babes (B-5's, for short) are being paid somewhat more to deal
cards than the 53-year old bald guy at the other pit. It's also safe
to say that these ladies will not have any more skill or proficiency
at dealing the game than the average "break-in" dealer, and probably
less ("Oh, I hit my thirteen with an 8! Tee-hee, I guess that means I
have to pay everybody, since I busted!").
So the question is, how does the Tuscany intend to compensate for the
additional overhead involved? One obvious move is to deal terrible
rules, like a six-deck shoe with three decks cut off, or double on
10/11 only, or maybe borrowing the Strip Rip (6/5 on blackjacks). Or
perhaps they think that enough confused and horny guys, eyes glazed
over, will start hitting hard 18 while mezmerized by cleavage, to make
it all worthwhile? Will the young lovelies perhaps engage in other
forms of psychological manipulation ("Honey", she purrs, "a real man
doesn't stand on a wimpy 12." She has a 6 up).

Secondly: Wouldn't this be a GREAT pit to be a card counter, assuming
you could handle the um, distractions? No pit boss would suspect you
of having the iron will to concentrate on the game in THIS setting.

I'm going to drop by sometime this weekend. It ought to be a sight to see.

Bikini Pits really aren't new. The Rio has had one for quite awhile and
I'm sure there are a few more.

Don't forget to add these games at the Rio have the WORST rules in
Vegas.

BJ pays even money, H17, D10/11 only and (this is a hoot) no mid deck
entry. They still cut off about 1/2 the deck. A ridiculous house edge
of 2.77%, more than 15 times higher then a real single deck game.

Only at the Rio.

I know. LOL. I didn't say they were any good, just that the Bikini
dealers are around!
