I Hit my first RF at LVH!!

Just wanted to share a follow up from my post a week or so ago asking
about LDW vs. JOB prior to my 4 day trip to LV.

This was my first trip to LV that I focused on mainly VP. I read all
these posts, got Jean's program, etc.. It all paid off. I finally hit
the RF on a $1 machine a LVH yesterday morning. I put a total of
around $900 into $1 JOB machines at mainly the LVH and some at
Bellagio. Total of around 2300 hands. Down to what I figured was my
last $$ in (had $130 or so left in the machine) and then BAM! Held a
A,K,J of clubs and pull the Q & T of clubs.

What a feeling!

Thanks to everyone for your advice and answers. Now I'm hooked!

I was a little sad that I didn't get a picture of it though, but I'll
take $$ over a pic any day.

Congrats on your royal. It is a fuzzy warm feeling when you get that first
one. But don't be surprised if your winnings slowly disappear, you can't
hit a royal every time...but keep playing smart and you will enjoy yourself.

that 1st one does make you a believer, especially if it makes you
profitable overall...wonder if jean (aka her frugalness) is going to
start demanding a percentage...

Congrats on th RF! Yes!!!

I've been playing Bob Dancer's Winpoker v6.0.5 for practice, but I'm
not sure what "Jean's Program" is??

Can someone point a newbie in the right direction?

Thanks,
Paul

Nope - if I started doing that, then people would want me to make up a percentage of their losses too!!!!!

Actually the big lesson I think is to make sure that anyone who wants
to play VP needs to practice as many people have said on this board.

I dabbled in VP years ago, but like most novices I tried to just "play"
it and not do the proper things to make it a playable game.

I know better now and at least have a fighting chance.

I also know that the odds are slim to hit a RF, so I'm very lucky.

But, hey that's what gambling is... a lot of luck usually...
