The difference between the offers is the first two don't have play

where the >50 machines are.
That's the critical thing to be aware at Venetian ... unless you're
going to maintain at least a $25K per day (and preferably $30K)
average there, it defintely puts you at a disadvantage to try and
"impress" them on your first, or subsequent, visits.
I think of their non-hosted player approach as a "salmon" strategy.
Hook 'em in at the level they play on their first visit and then get
them to gradually ramp up their play on subsequent visits through the
"current level" requirement - if a player intentionally (to keep good
luck running) or inadvertently bumps their play up on a trip, that
irreverably increases the "current level of play" hurdle for future
trips (effectively a "spawning fish ladder")
The trick there is to start with a $6K-$8K per night play average and
then be disciplined in keeping it modest.
By the way, play is tracked on the "Avg. Bet x Time Played" formula.
Ramp up your speed and you're simply going to have to play more hands
to meet your comittment. Also when we're there we check with player
services to make sure our play is sufficient before we quit - just to
make sure there are no surprises at checkout (time was when there were
more than a couple reports of unexpected charges for the room).
I'll qualify all this by saying that it's been about 2 years since our
last stay, but I expect the info is still timely.
btw, I'm pretty sure the $.50 jacks at V. are 8/5, unless there's been
a very recent addition.
