Hi all,
I am down in CT for the week and went to Mohegan Sun last night. I played
Bonus Poker for about 5 hours, until around 2:15A.M.. By the time 2:15A.M. rolled
around and after playing for 5 hours, I was quite brain dead, playing on
automatic pilot, and, I am somewhat embarrassed to admit, perhaps half asleep?
It was my first time on the 50 cent machines. I had been down about $200 but
worked my way back to being down $110. Suddenly, waking me up out of my
stupor, were all the bells and whistles announcing I had gotten a Royal Flush! I was
amazed!
As I watched the money counter rolling along, I looked at the screen to see
what had happened. As I said, I was nearly asleep at the time and had ZERO
recollection of the hand I had been dealt. I knew it wasn't 4 cards to the Royal,
because those ALWAYS get my attention, no matter HOW tired I am. Above the 5
cards, it said, "HELD - HELD - HELD - HELD - HELD."
So this is my question. Since I don't get Royals TOO often, and since the
last Royal I got was a DEALT Royal last month, I cannot recall if normally when
you hold some cards and draw the Royal if all the cards say "HELD" if you get
the Royal, or only those original cards you held. It seems to me that in the
past, only those cards I held would say "HELD" and that I could always tell
which cards I had been originally dealt. But if that is the case, then that would
indicate I got a second DEALT Royal Flush in less than 2 months, which seems
quite unlikely. Can anyone refresh my memory about how the screen normally
appears with a ROYAL that is NOT dealt?
I also took everyone's advice and got the Player's Club card. So after The
Sun gave me my $2,000, they also treated me to a lovely meal at Fidelia's. Life
is GOOD.
