Huge New No-Limit Texas Hold-em Tournament Planned

A guy on ESPN radio yesterday described a $60 million game planned for
next summer. Six entrants must pony up $10 million each. The six
players will be in a glass enclosed "dome" with one-way glass (the
players can't see out) overlooking the LV Strip. In 2007 the prize
will be $75 million and $100 million in 2008. This is a one day
tournament, WINNER TAKE ALL. The ESPN guy said it will be the
biggest "sports" prize ever.

There are only two ways I can see this working. First, if guys like
Bill Gates, Paul Allen, or Warren Buffet can be found to pony up the
$10 million entry fee or, more likely, a consortium of investors put up
the money and hire a world class player, like Daniel Negrenauh(sp), to
play on their behalf.

The online poker sites are likely sponsors. Party Poker, for
example, is making about $1 million per DAY in profit.

Barry Greenstein is a player who could easily pony up his own entry
fee.
