Huck Seed's $600K royal

Maybe not a coincidence that the $100 progressives at Bellagio and Aria were the same. Someone told me they are linked.

How are taxes handled on a $100 JOB machine, you hit a full house, do you need to have a 1099-G every time?? Even a 3 of a kind would be over the $1,200 limit.

Good question. I was also wondering how he's going to like his 0.65% EV when April 15th comes around. I assume he's got it all covered since he's been playing with the big boys for a long time.

W-2Gs are meaningless to a professional gambler. They just report their net
win on Sch. C.

Aria has special software to accumulate all the reportable jackpots in a
session and generate a log, so you don't have to stop when you hit trips or
better.

Yes, the same 1099-GA requirements apply no matter what denomination you are playing. That said, a few months ago I saw a reference in one of the Bellagio's quarterly promo offer mags that they were close to instituting some new patent- or gaming commission approval-pending technology/capability that would allow players to self-service their jackpots in the Hi Limit area. Don't recall that it gave a lot of (or maybe any) details but it certainly sounded like something I haven't seen before.

The first time I played at Aria (Feb 2010), they already had "quick pay" set up. It's pretty awesome. After you set up a session and have them enable quick pay, any time you hit a taxable, a window slides out on the screen and you just enter your PIN and confirm the amount of the taxable. It sends the info to the system, unlocks the machine, and leaves the credits on the machine. From lock-up to reset, it only takes about 20 seconds. You can't do it if the jackpot is six-figures though. They want to handle those manually.
