how to spread 80k of 9/6 play over 2 days to max comps/free play ?

I usually play about 50k/day at 9/6 when I'm in town - I get RFBL
offers from the major places and am interested in the best strategy
for maximizing level, variety, and location of comps.

I play at the big strip locations and don't know if I'm spreading my
action around too much. Once my action generates mailers I want, is
there any reason NOT to play the extra money/day at another location?

My main goal is to generate free play/ cash back offers to get the
game to a break even level.

thanks for any input

If you are getting the offers that you want, you are playing at the proper level or higher.
The trick is to determine that point at which you attain the level that you want and not wasting any more action at that place. Best way is to compare notes with others or get lucky and find an upfront Casino Host.
You can check the vpFree database and the LVA promotion lists to find out which casinos offer you the best cash back, or promotions.
Ballys is offering double cash back for September which would probably put them at the top of the list if you go next month.

A.P.

Since you report play of $50K/day, you may be getting RFBL at the
level with which you're satisfied but you're hardly maxing out the
financial offers that might be available from some large strip casinos.

These stronger offers include, among others, cash, attractive
tournaments with high EV, and shopping events.

These improved offers can add substantial EV, frequently for less
additional play than it takes to generate attractive offers at other
properties.

For that reason, I concentrate my play soley in each casino at which
I'm a guest. A consequence is that in addition to benefiting from
stronger promotions, in many cases I'm upgraded to RFB and premium rooms.

Hi Harry
A couple years ago I was put on RFB at Mirage. I didn't want RFB. I
don't use limo, gourmet seldom and I want to be free to leave the
property without the worry of not getting my "moneys worth". Leaving
property on RFB would be like going to the buffet and going across
the street to get dessert. In the past, using RFB would wipe out all
credits for food or any other comps. I only stay at Mirage if offers
are right. For instance, in September I will stay Frontier 4 days
and LVH 7 days. On a long trip I rent a ride and hop casinos a couple
of days. If I want to eat at Mirage my comps would be 0 if I was on
RFB last trip. They indicate comps kick back in upon check in on
return trip to Mirage. They comp on past play only if you are a
guest. You have to build them back up again.

I do like to use RFB when I stay the same place often. I play Taj in
AC. At one time I played every 2-3 weeks from Thur thru Sun. It was
suite check in, always RFB. Shows, spa, massage, gourmet etc.
Unfortunately good plays at Taj have dried up. I go there once every
3 or 4 months.

A couple years ago Mirage sent me a $1000 free play coupon. My wife
got $400 free play. Didn't mind having to stay Mirage. Stardust had
$300 cash offer. Had to stay 3 days to get offer. Frontier had $200
cash me and $200 cash for wife. 3 day stay for each of us. Not sure
if we had to stay to get, but we booked 6 night anyway. Worst thing
is I wanted to stay at LVH because I had a convention to attend.
Couldn't stay LVH. No cash offer and I already had too many rooms. I
never used the room at the Dust. Checked in. Got my $300. Messed the
bed up and checked out the next day. I did hit a $4000 royal at $1
9/6 on bar down near keno. So, I gave them some play. Stayed at
Frontier 4 nights. Only used 2 nights but kept room for 3 nights. In
spite of how property is crummy now, I prefer staying Frontier to
Stardust. I can't answer why. The vp mostly sucks but it doesn't take
much play to get comp. I stayed Mirage last 5 nights. Of course, I
prefer Mirage over most of Vegas properties. Had a mini sweet. Not so
big though. Pool is great. Food is good. But, vp rotten.

For years I used to go to LVH just to play the two Loose Deuce
quarter machines by sports book. Always watched the JOB progressives.
Every so often I would give LVH a lot of action if the play was
right. The offers came. Spreading play around only works if your play
is big enough to over qualify yourself at the property your staying
at. Of course a little play all over will generate free buffets etc.

Just some thoughts..Have a good one. ...Whitejeeps
