How to spend all those points?

I've been using a lot of my points for airline tickets on Southwest. It's a
1.5 to 1 conversion, plus a 50 point fee, but I haven't paid for airline
tickets in over a year.

We really enjoy playing at Mohegan Sun, and attending concerts and

accumulating, almost 3000 now. But the stores are not really my style,
and I usually can't find anything to buy with all those points. I was
looking forward to some new stores in the expansion, but that's on
hold. Everyone I see is carrying a shopping bag. I'll have to try
harder. Too bad they don't have a supermarket or office supply store.

You can also order from Brookstone's catalog. We've ordered outdoor furniture, exercise equipment and other items not shown in the store.

Thanks for all the replies. We'll try to use points for travel. Just
around the time we started accumulating lots of points, both of our
families decided to quit exchanging Christmas gifts, so can't do
that, although we do still buy small stuff if something seems just
right for someone.

Saturday was the worst pickum session I can remember, 350 plus points and no hand payouts, and it was just as ugly for my wife in Jacks. There were plenty of machines to play, but I have never seen the casino so crowded. Four concerts, New Kids, Temptations, Tower of Power, and Jimmy Buffet. We saw the Temptations, but I didn't like it, my wife did.

Sunday, played some pickum early, and took out my 200 free play. Went to lounge breakfast. Than back to the pickum machines. No seats, and it was that way until we left around 4. Some people waited for long periods. I went off to play Jacks, as I attempted to keep my average up. Things were not going well, and low and behold, a ROYAL, and back to even for the weekend. A break for brunch. The brunch was a slightly upgraded lounge breakfast, I don't think anyone was impressed. I heard 10 seating was even more crowded than the 12 seating. Every Sagamore in the world must have been there. No pickum's so back to the bartops, with the football games, lots of people sitting at the bars taking up space, so very little play. We headed home to a bday party. The food was good, and it was held at SBC in Milford.

November 23rd gifts. I am getting Rachael Ray pots, and my wife is getting a Cannon camcorder. I have more points than my wife this year, but her average play days are higher. Average play has a huge impact on comps. What else are people getting?

Have a great day, and ROYALS to all. Ciao Don

Congrats on the Royal. We were debating on going to the brunch, but
it sounds like I didn't miss much.

I will be going on the 23rd to pick up my pots and pans. When I
searched online it looks like the set I am offered goes for about
$199. I don't know if I will use the set, but my sons are 18 and 15,
so I might start saving these gifts to give to them when they go out
on their own.

I have to agree with you on average play. Since they went to 140$
play for 1 pt I have been going less often with higher daily
average. I have been getting much comps since then.

Thanks for the congrats. You missed nothing at the brunch, and no place to play.

Collecting these presents for others is smart, everyone seems to need the gifts. Although I have held onto a few of the gifts, for when we move. I have realized that almost everything I get or wear is from the casino. I wonder if it is my life.

See you on the 23rd. Adding the Brenda Lee in the Wolf Den to the trip.

Have a great day, and royals to all. Ciao Don
