fussiness.
Changing the text of the subject line has nothing whatsoever to do
with
it's position within a 'thread', which is actually determined from
header information which has nothing at all to do with what the
subject
line text is; that is to say, whenever someone uses the 'reply'
command
and then changes the subject line, the post will still appear
within the
same thread and in "reply" to the same former post.
I'd like to offer a suggestion to some folks who incorrectly
attempt to
start new subjects. When you want to start a new subject, you
should
_NOT_ use the reply command, but rather the 'compose' or equivalent
command that will start you out with a _BLANK_ subject line. This
is
because some folks tire of a thread and just mark the entire
thread --
which will thereafter automatically including any subsequent posts
to
that thread -- to be ignored; consequently, any supposed "new"
subjects
that actually appear incorrectly under such a former thread will
also be
