How to get VP on TV: XVP?

Fox TV has an interesting and cerebral new program ... a panel
discussion by 5 world class Texas Hold'Em players, including Annie
Duke, her brother, and three others. It's not a glitzy show like the
King of Vegas. Instead, a moderator poses questions, like "how and
when do you bluff" and the experts chime in with their opinions based
on their years of experience. It's fascinating to hear what they
have to say.

Hey, why not do that for other gambling categories that require
expertise, and can be beaten. In that category I would include VP,
sports betting, horse betting, black jack, and others ... possibly
craps.

Each week, a different gambling topic and different panel of
experts. We all know who the VP experts are. And I know there are
experts in the other games too. There could even be a show where
panelists explain how to maximize promotions, comps, etc.

To me, the King of Vegas seems contrived. And what message is it
sending? That gamblers are, for the most part, flamboyant flakes
(IMHO).

Yes, we do not want to see the fine reputation that gamblers have in society
sullied in any way. I mean, I am not at all flamboyant;-)

I've got to back off my criticism of King of Las Vegas, which was
based on the first show only. I missed the second show, but saw
about half of the third show last night. It was much better, I
thought. It seemed more relaxed and fun to watch, and the contestants
acted like real people having a good time.

Well, I'll lay on a little criticism to take up the slack;-) The
contestants have been chosen in a haphazard fashion and show doesn't seem to
be formatted to prove who is the best at anything. The play commentary is
painfull enough to make ears bleed.

Don't you just hate how they use the term "all in" ALL the time, whether it fits the game or not. They think that makes it more exciting? Makes me laugh at their lack of gambling knowledge.

I just hate the entire show :). Has to be some of the most irritating
people I've ever seen. I was able to stomach about five minutes of it last
night before I had to switch channels.
