How To Drive Yourself Crazy Playing VP

Howdy

As if the game wasn't stressful enough with its ups and downs ..ex: just
miss pulling a RF, my mind can make it even more painful then is necessary.

Out of the blue, I have developed a nasty habit that has not served me well.
When I am trying to pull quads while holding trips and I miss as usual I add
up the two dud cards. If they add up to the card I need I am dismayed even
more. If I need a nine and get a six and a three I shake my head..

I wonder how many dedicated vp players are in need of therapy. (That's one)

I sort of remember some vp machines at Circus Circus about 10 years ago
that did this. It added up the nonheld cards on the redeal and would
pay you for the quad if they matched the three held ones. Anyone else
remember them?

This was all before we knew anything about paytables, ER, strategy,
etc. Or eating at the CC buffet!

It was called something like: Add em Up Poker. I saw it at Orleans, tried it, but of course couldn't get it to deal me that hand when needed. Sure seem to get alot of them now!

Sigma Gaming machine ... "Add 'Em Up Four of a Kind", or something to
that effect. Paid 100 credits whenever the two non-matched cards
added to the same value of a trip in a hand. Not sure what a good
paytable was. (Note, it doesn't matter what cards in the final hand
were held or not.)

I'm not sure of this but I think there may be at least a couple of
these machines still on the floor of Trop - AC.
