Ok all of you flamers put out the flame gun, because I am not sure
exactly how to present this. What I do know is that sometimes we
need just a little fun on this site and not start flame wars.
snip........ Just that it was a lot
of fun playing that long on a single $20.
Now my comment/question. I would like to read what others have
done in a similar vein. To me, this would be just plain interesting.

OK - I'll admit it. Sometimes there are just new games,
or I'll be at the local Indian casino, here in CA.
Since .25 paytables are sometimes bad, my friend who likes to play at
the bartops, will play .05c with same bad paytable.
Our best 'joker' poker here is the abhorant 20-5-4 Kings or better.
They also chop the SF from 50-1 to 40-1. What does that make this,
about 95%?
Anyways, hitting a few 4Ks (or many), can still keep you playing
a LONG time, while sipping on drinks.
He played over 4 hrs. on a $20, before finally tiring out (and
eventually losing it all).
I once hit a ROYAL within 1st hour, and actually made $$.
LV - LONG time ago, when Stations were always testing new games;
(Who remembers 'MILLION-COIN' Video Poker?) Boulder Station.
I played an 8-5-4 DDJ (Double-double Jackpot), which as I later
found out was NOT the best paytable for that game.
However, I hit the bonus 4Ks often, incl. Aces + face once,
for $80, that it SEEMED ok to play for .05c. The volatility
was still there, however, and I wasn't ready to play ANY
JB game that payed 1-1 on 2 pairs for higher denom. than that.
One time, on my 3rd hand, I also hit a RF on that game.
After that, the games disappeared, so I was forever 'ahead' in the
short run.
More serious play:
$20 on a 10/6 100% VP at the Stratosphere.
I played over 800 hands while credits climbed over 1000, and began
to overspill into the tray. Overcycled on 3ks, FHs, and 4Ks.
I think I hit over 10-12 4Ks.
vp-pain watching: Short coin players.
My brother, (Not a gambler), hit a 1-coin .05c RF at Riviera.
Local Indian casino - actually has some good games at .05c.
HOWEVER, there are these 'double-down' lovers that will play
short coin, trying to double-up the wins. They also do this at
the .02c level, BETTING .02c at a time. (5-coin max).
Guess they don't want to risk .10c,
even if the game is a good longterm payer.
I couldn't stand playing at that level.
I generally don't mind those players, except if I need a machine.
Some of them really pound the buttons and/or screen, thinking
it will somehow improve the outcome of the 'double-up'....
At some point (after winning 3-4 in a row), one wonders
what their GOAL is.
