Unless you are willing to run through a fare amount of coin, then Palms may
not fit your needs. I haven't checked the database recently, but as I recall a
room comp required in the area of 20K in play. That's about 5 hours of $
play at a relaxed 800 hands per hour.
Info in the links on this site though seem to indicate that there is
no cash-back program at all at Palms currently. I always thought that
getting back something was pretty standard, and what allowed you to
lose almost nothing (occasionally even to be a theoretical net winner,
being able to get over 100% return with a promotion in addition to the
regular cashback).This all being the case, why is Palms considered to be so good by so
many here? Is it really just the large amount of Deuces type games?
My wife and I are coming to town in a couple of weeks, and really only
know 9/6 JOB and 10/7 DB fairly well. I can "get by" on an old-style
FPDW, but those don't exist at all anymore I'm sure, so we'd have to
learn some NSUD or Loose Deuces in a hurry.
CB is good:-) But it's not the only thing to base a preference on. Locals
get bounce back cash but even if you don't there are a lot of reasons to like
the Palms.
