How do you measure success?

First of all... let me point out the obvious... I am NOT EVEN CLOSE
to being anything near compitent at math. With that in mind... here
is my question.

Lets say I use one of the VP tutors to find out how successful I am
based on my error percentage as far as "Cost in Coins" is concerned.
With this information in hand, how does one figure out which "type"
of machine a person will lose the least money on based on the
machines optimal payback percentage AS WELL AS how successful a
person is at mastering that machine.

As an example...

I'm guessing that (on average) I would lose less money at a 9/6 Jacks
or better machine (99.54% return) at which I play at a 98% correct
percentage rate with regards to EV mistakes than I would playing a
FPDW machine (100.76 % return) at which I just started to learn and
only play at a 96% correct percentage rate with regards to EV
mistakes.

I am making these numbers up but I hope you get the drift of what I
am asking. Basically... I am assuming a person is better off playing
an easier maching near perfection than a machine at a better
percentage return that the person does not play stategically nearly
as well. When it comes to strictly win/loss... I accept this as
true... but how do you quantify it? Do you simply multiply your EV
percentage correct times the machines extected return and the higher
number is the one you would have lower losses at?

Thanks for any input.
