How do you get to Casino Montelago?

Hi, I am currently at the Silverton and will be downtown tonight.
What is the closest way to drive to Casino Montelago? Thank you, Lisa

If you are over by Silverton, take the I-215 past Fiesta Henderson.
Continue until you get to Lake Las Vegas Resort. Turn left and the
first turn, you go right and your there.
If downtown, take 95 to Lake Meade Blvd. Turn left and continue
until you get to Lake Las Vegas.

I think I can answer. Pretend you are going to
Fiesta Henderson from whereever you are. It is more or
less at the intersection of a freeway (I215?) and Lake
Mead Drive. If you use the freeway, get off at the
Lake Mead exit, go east some 6 or 7 miles on Lake Mead
and turn left into the resort area. There are signs,
it is beautiful out there, an artificial lake,
gorgeous golf courses etc. Casino was empty, they
advertise the most FP VP in Vegas, but it is all $.25
which I find boring now, have moved up to mostly $1. I
play a lot of BJ also, may I warn the group about
something? They only had one BJ pit, the dealer's all
seemed to be cute Caucasian women, and hey, I'm
heterosexual and that is worth something almost like
added EV to me:-) They were all manning (is it PC to
use that word) empty tables except one. I play Green
chip to low black chip BJ if I am winning. I bought in
for a few hundred, and the only two pit critters were
watching the table. I am naive, I thought they were
watching the dealer, or bored. She made a mistake,
they said not a word, I had to bring it to their
attention so I realized they were watching me, not the
dealer. Everyone else at the table was a red chip
player so I cashed out and quit. I think they are
always dead in there unless the attached hotel is
hosting some kind of convention. Someone here posted
that the casino and hotel are separate, you may not be
able to score room comps at all. I understand that
hotel rates start at over $200 weekdays, it is a high
class kind of place!!

there are three kinds of people in this world. Those that make things happen! Those that watch things happen! and those that don't know what's happening!
