I've been discussing the gambling at MS and cut in pay tables with friends
and the following results at MS vs other locations raises the question of
regulated vs unregulated casinos.
In 2004, I hit 1 royal at MS. This is in over 22 visits and 4+ cycles. I
visited Las Vegas 1X and hit 1 single line royal and 5 royals on 50 plays, I
visited Gulfport 1X and hit 1 royal, Reno 1X and hit one royal, Casino Niagara and
did not hit a royal, Atlantic City 6X and hit 5 royals.
In 2003, with similar play, I also hit only 1 royal at MS
In 2002, also 1 royal at MS.
The last and only royal ever hit at Foxwoods was 2000.
The bottom line is that when I list my play over the last 4-5 years, I'm
ahead everywhere except CT and Canada.
I think the down grade will save me a ton of money.

--- I have not recieved a gift card in about 4 months. My wife has
gotten one until this month. When we were there this weekend, I
asked the players club if they forgot to put one in my mailer. They
checked and I could see the printout with codes showing the most
they gave out this month was $35. My wife plays VP also and her coin
in has increased so she now gets the same offers as I do (cabaret
tickets and $39 room rate). I spoke to my host regarding this and
what I could figure out was that they are marketing the bonus cards
to the lower level players and it is not a VP issue. They must
assume the higher level players will come anyway. We will still come
as long as 9-6 JOB are there. We usually come early Friday to noon
on Sat and finding a bartop has not been a issue as of yet
