Hi Joel,
We just got back from MS and we seem to be returning the money I won
from two royals but I guess that is how it goes. We saw George Benson
and he was great. MS now has three levels of hosts. They are Executive
Hosts, Directors of Player Development and VP of Player Development.
Executive Hosts deal with around 2,000 players. When your level of
play gets higher you then get taken by a Director. They have access to
better events and about 4x the comping dollars per month than
Executive Hosts. Also, the slot tournaments they run have higher
value. Each Director deals with about 500 players. Above that level
comes the VP. Again, they have more comping ability and the slot
tournaments have higher value. This is all tied to there new marketing
scheme to get the higher level players there more often. Hope this
info helps

Hosts, Directors and VP
The problem with all this is that MS is a nice but marginal place to play
now. With only a handful of $ 9/6, no more $1 pickems, there are limited
opportunities for $1 players. Granted not bad given if you throw in the
1.12% comp rate. For the higher level players that you mentioned, there is
little reason to give MS much action. The $5 playable games at .33% comps
and no cash back won't draw anything but a minimal amount of action from
anyone knowledgeable. I wonder why you take away comps with one hand (lower
comp percentage on good games) and then try and give them back (if you have
a high level host). Sure if you are playing $5 slots at 93% you will get a
boat load of comps but then you are either an idiot or have money to burn.

MelWe go to Vegas five times a year and I agree that the games there
are better. MS is only 1 hour away and I find the JOB not a bad
play. At the dollar level you are getting back 1.1% and with our
play we just got the shopping cards that were worth 400. We are aslo
getting to see any show we want for free (except Buffet) Granted,
their prices are 15-20% higher but it is still for free. They have
added more FP JOB to the bars where they were eliminated. We were
there last night and did not have trouble finding a FP machine. MS
is not a perfect place but with FP JOB I think it is more than
marginal considering how close it is.
