Host response to e-mail..how long would you wait?

For me, email is a major way to communicate since it is difficult for me to receive phone calls at work but do have access to email.

Any host that I am going to work with, I explain this to and ask if they read their email frequently.

Since you can send an email when a host has just started a two day weekend, I generally give them 72 hours to respond.

If they are on vacation, they should set up a rule letting you know that or have an assistant monitoring their email.

Hello All,I don't seem to have much luck with e-mails sent to casino hosts. I prfer to introduce myself by e-mail rather than cold call someone out of the blue. My intro is a means to ask about consideration for a future stay which is not surprising. It always takes multiple days for any kind of response, sometimes as long as a week, sometimes not at all. In my view, an e-mail is like a phone call in a professional environment. I know that spam e-mails are a big danger and opening unrecognizable mail poses a risk, so maybe filters remove some legit stuff from the host's mailbox. So, I guess what I am really asking is...How long would you wait to hear back from a casino host? Am I being impatient? Should a phone call follow-up the e-mail after a week? If I need to phone, maybe I should have started that way?Opinions and comments please.

I agree that a response should be within 72 hrs without reaction on
the sender's part. Also, agree that since e-mail requests equal
business, that someone should be looking at messages in a host's
absence.

The good news is that I did get one response today. Only 7 days
after sending the e-mail. The other e-mail is now 6 days out so I
guess it has to go a week before I should be concerned.

48 hours would be most unusual in my experience.
