I had an almost identical experience with Cora Gavino. I found her

Try Carl Grasso or Marge Matteoni for a much more pleasant
experience.
From what I've heard, however, the SL has tightened up on comps
since they've gone to the new "comp-yourself" plan. I've never
been
turned down for any comp that I've requested, from the boothlings.
I wonder if anyone knows if it is still to possible to request
comps
from the booth? And, if so, whether they've noticed any change
recently?

I hate to see Cora get a bad-rap as we've been friends for many
years. By nature, Cora is shy and insecure, so she may have problems
with new players (and vice versa). After the "ice melts", she really
is a very warm person. Of course, players should not be expected
to "melt" hosts <g>, so I understand your position.
The new comp system was designed not only to reduce benefits <g>, but
to take pressure off the booth for comp requests. Because boothlings
access the same comp system as the kiosks, don't expect any different
treatment ... other than to refer you to a kiosk for future requests
(or a host if you want something discretionary).
BTW ... there's some new Multi-3 (that's game, denomination, and
line) games accross from the buffet with 10/6/40 DDB. I believe
that's one of your favorites.
