Horseshoe Southern Indiana

Anyone on this forum go to the HS Southern Indiana casino recently? I’d like to know if the 9/6 JOB machines are still there. Someone on vrpfree posted that these machines are expected to be downgraded.

Thanks

The following is a recent e-mail I got from a friend who visits HSSI frequently:

The 8/5 50 cent/$1 Super Aces GK machines are
gone at Horseshoe SI, along with nearly all the full pay machines in the entire
casino, and it appears that all will be gone soon. Only three machines
are left on the 3rd level bar, the ones on the left without 8/5 SA, plus the
first level machines, about 12 of them, that were against the far wall, are the
only full pay machines left - 9/6 JOB at 50/$1, and 25 cents on the first
level, 9/5 TDB plus, the best game left at 99.8%, 9/6 BPD and 9/5 SDB, are the
only games left above 99.5%. I did not check the HL slot area where there
was only $5 machines with Double Bonus at 99.11% 9/7/5. But the entire
second level that had all 9/6 JOB, even at 25 cents, are now gone. The first
level where they were all $1 full pay machines with slant tops are all gone.

All the full pay machines on all levels that are now gone are replaced
with new “HS Cincy-like” machines with drastically lower pay tables,
including the one area on the second level that originally did not have full
pay. The fourth level bar with the 7/5 Bonus Poker has only five machines
left, the other five replaced with even worse games.

In fact, when checking a dozen or so of these new machines, ALL
were 6/5 JOB at 25/50 cents and MOST were 7/5 JOB at $1, but a few on the first
and second level were 8/5. Talking about going from full pay to the worst
that you can have!!! The other games were nearly all 6/5, but maybe at $1
you can find an 8/5 DDB or TDB!!!

And since only half the third and fourth level bar were completed
with the bad new machines, I assume they all will go very soon, along with the 12
machines against the first level wall.

Thanks a lot for the information. I might check back in with you in a few weeks. I have a late January trip planned, but I will cancel if all the full pay machines are gone.
