I am waiting for an offer from the Boyd Properties (Cal or Fremont) but they are sold out for two of my four nights of the trip.
Looking for cheap accomodations downtown and am wandering what the Rooms are like at the Horseshoe or Las Vegas Club. How do they compare to the Fremont Rooms?

I have never stayed at the Fremont but our stay at the
Horseshoe in July was horrible. Luckily it was only
for one night.
The air conditioner was noisy and didn't cool below
about 80 degrees. After getting in late from gambling
and traveling the night of arrival we found out the
shower/bath faucet didn't work. It was too late to
call maintenence so we didn't take a shower.
The worst thing was in the morning at checkout. When
we complained of the problems, they couldn't have
cared less.
They seemed like a bunch of union employees that
didn't give a s...t about the customers.

We stayed at the Las Vegas Club in the North Tower in March and our
room was excellent, large and clean. I think it was #1024 with a
view of the California, MSS and the mountains. I have heard that
the rooms at the Fremont are much smaller with cramped bathrooms.
