Horseshoe Hammond

Went to Horseshoe Hammond yesterday, and found a lot of $1 JOB and
BP. Also found some $1 machines with APDW on them.

Machines card readers were not working, and we could bill validator
would not take our free play coupons. Took 20 minutes to get the tech
to get a machine to read our cards. A handpay took 1/2 hour. They
are not ready for business as we know business, and to say the service
was worse than indifferent.

The machines with APDW are uprights, in an oval type of layout, on the
way to the Vintage 51 Bar.

Went to Horseshoe Hammond yesterday, and found a lot of $1 JOB and
BP. Also found some $1 machines with APDW on them.

Played APDW there for about a 1/2 hour on Sunday. (Won a whole $5.)

Gorgeous (and huge!) property but probably still some bugs. I also saw
a $1 progressive bank with 9-7 DB among other games. (About in the
right center of the VP area.)

It was mentioned on this website that they have 10 coin 25c games with
a progressive starting at $25,000 for a sequential royal. Avoid this
game as the base games are all under 97%.

They have a bank of Super Times Pay Spin Poker 5c/10c/25c. Sadly with
only poor pay tables.

Has anybody seen a playable (99%+) 25c or lower game on the new
Horseshoe?

I was there again over the weekend and almost all the VP machines were operational.
Unfortunately as previously stated, most have poor pay tables. The high limit room has 2
fifty play machines with AFPDW as well as single line $5 machines with 8/5 Super Aces,
AFPDW and other 99+% games. The high limit room was out of hundreds on both Friday
and Saturday. They claim it was due to the large crowds. They were paying jackpots either
with twenties or with TITO vouchers or of course a check. If this continues, please bring a
wheelbarrow for any large jackpots.

I have been at the Horseshoe four times since the new casino has been in business.

We played from 8/28 to 8/31 when the 8X points promotion was in effect and still have not
received the bonus points.

My wife played about 900 tier score points on 8/31 and instead of receiving the points earned
she had about 2800 points deducted from her tier score.

They have assured her the points would be credited - they have not done it as of today.

We attended the Bette Midler concert on Friday and they included food and cocktails before and after the show
and the Seven Star lounge also had free cocktails and food after the show. They advertised the show as a sellout
but they were giving away seats in the casino and there were lots of empty seats when the show started.

The VP machines we played were not paying at all - I am beginning to believe in "yield management chips"

The buffet was excellent. The employees were great.

We received an offer for 8/31 for a Legends of Motown concert including drinks and food.

We will not be back until then. Also, both of us each have a 7* card but now only receive one offer for
each event. So, they lose half our action for next year.

The 8s should be 7s except for the end of August show.
