An answer to my complaint on the lowering of the cash back without
telling us,.... like they would? What dream world do I live in!? :

Dear James,

Please accept my sincere apologies for the dissatisfaction you are
currently feeling. I have spoken with our Director of Marketing who has
assured me that our same day cash back program is still set at $5 for
every 200 points earned. If you have noticed something different in
your account, please feel free to contact our Marketing Director at 318-
752-6889.
One department has no idea what the others are doing.... or do they?

James,

It is interesting how their "assurance" is different from you computation.

Perhaps the Director of Marketing has not yet gotten the "memo". LOL

Your comment reminds me of a movie line: "I didn't get the
memo?".......[Oh!, you will!] "Alright as long as I get the memo!"...
As if that will make it all better!?

They just never want to admit to the negatives? Oh sure!, raise the
CB and it would be all over the news with signs up all round! Instead
they deny it as if the average player won't even notice.... or
something like that?

You hear tons about good customer relations in every line of
business! But, do they ever practice it?? The answer from Harrah's on
another issue said they have to many... "Diamond Players ... to offer
an assign Host to everyone." Too Many Diamond Players! People who
have to run $220000.00 through the machines to stay at the Diamond
level? I'd call them a GOOD customer? Did they ever think of
softening the blow by being up front about the necessity of lowering
the CB due to the bad economy? Somehow the surprise of playing and
then discovering it just bugs me!

Next will come the lowering of the paytables on VP....?

I guess that won't be too bad, then I will have no excuses to stay
home! They are all losing games now anyway. With the lower CB rate
and ...I'm sure... other player perks, the barely playable games are
now not? At least for me!

Sorry for the rant!

PS, BL I left a email on your yahoo?

James: I am not sure what your calculations were, but the CB at BC
Horseshoe is still .25%. In the response from the TR rep, they
indicated that the CB was $5 for every 200 points earned. For VP, the
earning rate is $10 per point (slots are $5 per point). Hence, for the
200 points, $2000 coin in for VP would achieve that which makes the CB
rate .25%. I track it all the time I am there, which is monthly, and
it tracks consistently at that rate. By the way, you may be confused
with the Eldorado, which requires $20 coin in to earn a point, however
their CB rate still equals the same .25% as the Shoe.

By the way, I also track the Bounceback cash and, while there seems to
be no specific formula plus they have several different enticing
mailers (monthly, based on last visit, specific day enducements, etc)
we have been averaging about the same rate as with the CB; i.e. .25%.
In total, playing their NSUD game (99.73%) gives an individual a
positive game with CB and BB added. The BB cash at the Eldorado is
much more generous (as is their comps) but only comes every other month.

That make all I wrote goofy as a.......? I could have sworn it was $20
in equals a point? Maybe your right, I was playing at the EL first! Now
I have to go apologize to Harrah's Reps. and post a retraction!
Thanks again!
