Horseshoe Bossier City, Feb 2017 update

As I promised, vpFree2 I went by and checked on what they have listed as being at the 'Shoe on deck one. None of what is listed is there anymore. Some of the machines are still there but none of them contained the games listed… all lower pay tables.
The wall that use to divide the Poker room from the two rows of VP machines on the Port side of the boat by the men’s room is gone as are all the VP machine that were there. They use to use those two rows for VP Tourneys. I played once in tourney there many moons ago.

Also, all the VP that use to be out side the men’s room toward the bow… are all slots now.
And, there use to be a couple of VP machines in front of the poker room ( I once played Multi-Strike there)… all slots now.

I found no games worth playing on what few VP games are on the starboard wall of the Poker Room where there still are a few 50 and 100 plays along with some single lines.
The High Limit room on deck 3 has three $5/$10/$20 3/5 Plays (across from the High Limit Cashier Cage… in the center of the room in a four machine carousel. The fourth machine is a 50 Play at the dollar level.
These HL games all had 8/5 Bonus Poker, 9/7 Double Bonus Poker but I did not make note of the other games or their play tables. I do seem to recall that the DDB on the 50 play was less than 9/6… but I’d have to check on this next time to be sure.
W ate at the 8oz Burger Bar at the Horseshoe and then went to Diamond Jack to donate $100 dollars by way of the $1 TDB single line upright there… and what luck, $85 dollars in we get (33323) for a quick $1880 after State Tax.
Diamond Jack has been the news as of late… either they will do a major upgrade or move out to somewhere else in LA?? Will be interesting to see what the City will do in the way of working with them? Needless to say the Video Poker in Shreveport is bad… and I am doubtful whatever DJ comes up with will change that?

Addendum, June 6, 2018
Went to Horseshoe Bossier City to play nickel 3 play TDB (yes, it suck). I thought it was 9/6 TDB… turns out it was 9/5 TDB. Even worse. I either did not do a correct research or they changed it. I am leaning toward… I messed up even though I find it hard to believe I’d make that big a mistake.
However, the $.50 and $1 games of 3 play TDB are 9/6.

I guess the next time I feel like playing a 98 % game ( and donating some money) I think I will try the $.50 game.
The Total Rewards FB page (through private message) says that Horseshoe Bossier does not send out mailers. It take $10 coin in to earn 1 point and 200 points generates $1 in slot cash… if I have this right.
I did get a buy one get one free (or 1/2 price) Buffet… redeemed by showing the Total Reward card and asking the cashier. Also a $5 coin coupon after swiping at a kiosk and printing same.
Their Promotion of earn 150 points on Wednesdays in June is kind of a bust. Well, for me anyway. After playing bad VP to earn the 150 pt. I discovered that you have to play between the hours of 3 pm and 8pm and we don’t stay that late because the later you stay the smokier it gets.
Each Wednesday in June they have a gift ( Electric griddle; Crockpot, Toaster Oven and one more?) for the 150 points… but I am not sure how they work this promo?? The offers on “My TR” page just says Earn 150 points … no info at all about how it works.
I did notice a sign… this time… that said Mondays and Tuesday are Multipoint days. VP get a 3X multiplier. So I guess if I just have to play some… I should only play on those days.

If Bossier is like most TR Casinos, the Multipoint days are REWARDS points, not Tier points that are required for the gifts.

I still receive mailers from the Horseshoe and Louisiana Downs but I live out of state. I still have to go to the kiosk to receive the free play and ask the buffet for any available benefits for dining.

The Horseshoe buffet is second only to Tunica Horseshoe. The best ever was the Paula Deen at the Harrah’s in Tunica. Alas, both the casino and buffet are gone.

Thanks, Annajam935 for the inventory research. Hopefully, they haven’t’ messed with the dollar machines very much.

I live out of state as well… still no mailers. Was told they don’t?

brunoflipper… there ae no 99% games at the 'Shoe at the dollar level(mostly). There are 4? machine in the High Limit area that have some as mentioned before( I’d have to check my report on same as I forget what I posted). The best dollar I could find on the first deck are stuff like 9/6 TDB… 87.%. The only 99 % games at dollars left are few and far between. None at the El. or Margaret. and only a few at Sam’s. Boomtown is a bust as well.

If it has not been changes since my last report… Diamond Jacks still has a couple… but for how long that Casino will be open… it is anyone’s guess.
If you live out of town… based on the state of VP in this market… I’d stay out of town. Just my humor… such as it is.
