I have found that most casinos have a separate account for horse wagering. I
think it is franchised out. We get comps, but not nearly as much as from
tables/machines.

The casinos receive the lion's share of the takeout.
If memory serves me, they pay apx 6% for the signal.
On a trifecta or other high end exoctic wager where the takeout is 25% the
casino does fantastic.
The house is now on the same side as their customers and casinos offer
comps, contests and reward credits to reward and retain customers.
The casinos used to give cash back until it was outlawed although at least
one large bettor has/had an arrangement with one westside casino.
