Hollywood Fla. Hard Rock Only Wants Losers

Case in point:
Was there for several hours about a year ago and dropped one large on $ 9/6 jacks.
They sent me an offer for three free nights $150 free play and $75 food credit.

Played there a few months ago using the above offer. Played approx. $ 12-15K each evening, on the same $ 9/6 Jacks. I broke even.

New mailing: only two comp nights, $75 free play and $25 food credit.
  So long HR.

Larry,
They are so freaken inconsistent that it is unbelievable. I've gone from $250 a week one month to $375 the next to $150 the next month. Discretionary comps are big if you hook up with a good host. The Plum Lounge in the back of high limit slots is pretty nice.

Joel,
I know that you're a north easterner. Perhaps you're a snowbird ? Anyway, how often had you gone to the HR and were you winning or losing ? Were you giving them the same action I reported ?
I only played there in the evenings as I spent the days with my ailing mother who lives about thirty miles north of the HR.

Larry,
I was there on some business and visiting my 88 yr old mom who is also about 30 miles north of the Hard Rock. I was averaging 2x a month and about 50-75K a visit.

I haven't played there in a while though. In Dec they did some type of ugrade and changed my address. I've tried to correct but have not received any mailers in months. Now, I play my free play, eat in the Plum lounge and leave.

Joel,
Thanks for the reply. Looks like you were putting much more through than I was. Did your offers vary according to whether you won or lost ?
I wasn't aware of the Plum Lounge. In any case with the weak offer I was sent, I'll pass on the HR when I make my bi-monthly visits.

Larry,
I don't believe the mailers are tied to whether you win or lose. More likely it is tied to time of year or some other unknown factor. I don't believe any other Class III Fla casino has any FP VP for any game at any denomination. Drinks are free in the high limit lounge rather than paying $8 on the floor.

The Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa has 9/6 Jacks and a bonus game with a payback of 99.64% in the high limit room at $2.00, $5.00 , $10.00 and $25.00. Unfortunately, drinks are not comped even in the high limit room. I was charged for a bottle of water once. (Soft drinks are free).

Unknown factor might be the key here. I would presume that the summer time is a slower time for the casino because the snowbirds have left.
That is why I was at least expecting the same offer that I had used.
