Many locals, myself included, do not receive any mail from MGM/Mirage. Just
in case you may have forgotten, the HGS redemption period began on November
27, and runs through December 4. Also, NYNY does NOT have a HGS redemption
venue. I went there two days ago, and found out that I had to go across the
street to the MGM to redeem my points. The HGS is in the Grand Ballroom there,
most of the way down the Studio Walk. I had no problem redeeming my HGS points
for free play (at NYNY), at the rate of $100 per 30,000 points. Just proceed
directly to checkout, and they can input your free play.
My understanding is that all the other Las Vegas MGM/Mirage properties have
HGS redemption areas. Why NYNY doesn't is not clear, unless they just didn't
have an available (big!) room for the entire redemption period.
