One significant omission in VPSMs NSUD strategy is that it does not show a
one deuce 3RF with an ace as playable with 2 penalty cards (Must be one
flush and one straight penalty). It is better than keeping stiff 2 (This
error can cost as much as 0.12 coins per 5 coin bet). (One exception here
is that with AT8s + 2 + K it is better to hold 108s + 2.) Awhile back,
Randi (a friend of Ednar's) saw me misplay this hand. I pulled out the VPSM
chart showing it was not there. I later checked it on Winpoker and of
course Randi was right. As bjaygold correctly indicates, there are a number
of other small exceptions not really worth worrying about.

Subject: Re: [vpFREE] Holding the 8,9s playing NSUD in Win Poker? In NSUDs SF2s, 67s - 9Ts, are always slightly better than a redraw when
there
are no flush or straight penalties. They are also sometimes playable with
the
most distant straight penalty, and occasionally are playable with a
second-most-distant straight penalty.Ignoring these minor plays will not cost you much. Probably less than
.001%.
When there is a "disagreement" between WinPoker and a generated strategy,
WinPoker is always correct. Generated strategies are almost never
"perfect." A
perfect strategy for NSUDs would have well over a hundred lines, as there
are
several types of extremely close hands. Covering all the penalty card
situations
···
is very complex, yet adds very little to the overall return.

I still don't get it? Win Poker still tells me to hold the 8,9s
while playing NSUD. I ran the strategy in VPSM (basic and advanced)&
Frugal Video Poker. There is no mention of doing this in either one.
I personally never hold these cards when I play the game here in
Detroit. So who's right?TM & VP
