Hold them v.s VP

My casino's best vp play is Jacks or better, all denomination
including Triple and Five play. With the growing popularity of
Texas Hold'em I am wondering if this could be a better game?
Are there any sites that give any info. regarding the comparison or
any wisdom from the group would be appreciated.

Sites will not help as it is your skill at Hold 'em that will determine
which is better. If the JOB you have is 9/6 that is likely better
unless you are a very good Hold Em player as near break even. Many
losers coming to Hold Em to fill all these winners' pockets.

No Comparison!
You can get good at both, and math helps in both I suppose. Both need to watch your
bankroll, don't get carried away.

But you gotta read People, not Strategy tables to excel at H/E. And after a lot of hours
staring at the VP machine, dealing with people isn't so easy. gotta be in the Mood.

I play a lot of free games on-line. no suggestion as to where to play, altho' if you
have a mac, there's not too many sites. The free money playe4rs play way too
reckless, it's a far cry from real money. I personally wouldn't put in a dime to the
off-shore sites, that's just me.
And there's a big difference between ring games and tournaments play. Lotsa books
to read, david sklansky and doyle brunson have written some bibles of poker &
hold'em. do some web surfin'. google group rec.games.poker talks strategy along
with a million other flame war posts. our site here is positively tame by comparison.

Look elsewhere!
