Great point Bob. Now I understand why denial is considered the
foundation of all
addictions.

Finally, I would be wary of citing Gamblers Anonymous as a source.
While
they provide an important service for many people who need it, many
successful professional gamblers who have taken a Gamblers Anonymous
test just to see how it comes out, will come back with a false
positive
test result indicating they have a gambling addiction. I don't buy
that
at all.

You know, the dude was right. If you made a post on vpFREE that
water was
wet, you wouldn't have to wait more than an hour for a reply that
differed.
Then the discussion runs on until the HMFIC (Head Male/Female In
Charge)
steers it over to FREEvpFREE. GO figure!

Why do you say that vpFREE isn't free?

Bob, now that you put it that way, I finally understand why free is
not
free. It appears to be the same exact same logic you rely upon when
tutoring
your students. And that resulted in many banking $50K a year. One
sure
can't argue with logic like that!

vpfae asked: Why do you say that vpFREE isn't free?

1. There are casino lurkers on vpFREE (who are officially welcome
according to vpFREE rules and frequently not appreciated by players.)
Discussions here can lead to changes not enjoyed by player-members of
vpFREE.

2. The game between players and casinos is somewhat of a
cat-and-mouse variety. To the extent that vpFREE is successful in
educating its members, this changes the dynamics of the equilibrium
between players and casinos. In reaction, casinos tighten their
games.

3. There are a lot of plays that individual players would rather
keep secret. Once the secrets get exposed, the plays often get killed
quickly because of overexposure.

i would call these things real costs that would not be present
if vpFREE (and other such forums --- even the fee ones) didn't exist.
