hitting multiple royals - problems?

I have had several times, at different casinos, hit 3 jackpots in a short
time span and it triggered a slot mechanic accompanied by a 'suit' opening my
machine and checking the chip # to that listed in the book they carried.
interesting.

Was playing dollar JOB last evening and hit a royal. Naturally, I
kept playing some and within fifteen minutes hit another royal.
Kept on playing and several times it looked like I was going to hit
another royal but did not. Thought to myself though "if these
people have to come over here another time to pay me for a third
royal, they are going to accuse me of something". (Just my crazy
thoughts!)

Taking into consideration the discussion of the cashing of the large
tickets at the cage and the supervisor's questions, has anyone
experienced any problems with getting paid when hitting multiple
royals in a very short period of time at a major casino?

At the Copa in Gulfport, just before they got rid of the two dollar
Joker Poker machines, the casino instituted a policy of having the
slot tech run a "hopper test" anytime one of these machines needed 3
fills in a 24 hour period. These were the old type IGT dollar
machines (no TITO) that only held 400 coins in the hopper, and spit
out coins at 400 credits. So it was *nothing* for these machins to
exceed 3 fills in one day. Sometimes you could get 3 fills in an
hour or two if you hit a joker royal and some straight flushes and
quads in quick succession. This was one of the more stupid policies
I've seen from a casino, (and casinos have no shortage of stupid
policies). Even the slot tech told me it was a stupid rule for these
particular machines, because it was forcing him to run hopper tests
daily on them. Perhaps the management was just trying to aggravate
the advantage VP players who frequented these two games.

For those of us of the TITO era, what is a "hopper test"?
