This is why I said I was over royaled every year. I don't play anywhere that
many hours. I average 25-30 hours a week on poker. More if I'm on a streak, less
if the hands are not hitting. There are weeks Ill hit 4-5 royals and weeks I
don't hit any. I went on a streak at M were I hit 14 royals in about 3 months.
.......
Well, at least "fibbing" is a delicate choice of words
First of all, this person has NOT even said they're winning, just that they got a lot of royals, and admittedly more than they should expect. And depending on how they play, it might not even be more than they should expect, they may just be putting in the required number of hands.
IF they play mostly multi-line, esp. 100-play, this could easily be their results with that many hours a week. Even single-line, 25 hours a week at 1000 hands per hour, is 25,000 hands a week, and if they play 5-play or 10-play routinely (a lot of people do), and only play 500 hands per hour, that's 60-120,000 hands a week, easily enough for about 60-150 royals per year, if I'm doing the math (roughly) correctly. If that's the case, the reported 40-45 per year is below expectations!
And if not, well, someone has to be at the far ends of the bell-shaped curve; we've certainly heard from those who have played a lot and never hit a royal, and we don't doubt that!
Or, someone could be "dumb" and not know what a royal flush is
Or, someone could be fibbing
