Posted this on Winpoker and did not get any help. Could someone
help over here?
How would I generate the raw data to manually construct a histogram
of expected return of a video poker game (say 5000 hands for each
data point). I am familar with constructing a histogram.
My thoughts are that I would have the computer/or me play 5000 hands
on Winpoker/FVP and tally the frequency of occurrence of coin out
minus coin in for each session (credits returned). If I did this for
many 5000 hand sessions would I then eventually have the normal
distribution of sessions of 5000 hands.
Also it is frequently stated that 50,000 to 1,000,000 hands are
required before the curve becomes bell shaped. Is this 50,00 to
1,000,000 hands or is it 50,00 to 1,000,000 sessions of 5000 each?
