Hilton Bonus Cash

I just returned from a trip to the Hilton. When I went to cash in my cash coupon they did not ask for proof of staying at the casino.

  I redeemed one in early November and they required proof that I was a
  registered guest. They asked to see the little white card with the
  room number on it that you show when signing charges to your room.

Thanks for the follow up. I didn't make the attempt on my last trip. I'm
hesitant to drop in without being willing to give them a couple solid days
of play as their future offers are valuable to me.

Although they did not require proof of stay, will cashing the coupon
register on your slot card account as a trip and negatively impact
daily average?

I can only make a logical guess. Since your Players card number is on the coupon, they certainly are capable of registering your visit. Since this would be to the Casinos' advantage, I would assume that they would consider this to be a visit.
Conclusion - If it is important to you to maintain a specific average, I would not recommend cashing a coupon unless you were going to play for the day. I am making an assumption that if you played for the day you would maintain your average level of play and this would keep your numbers stable.

Don, although I can't reply with first hand knowledge based upon such
a redemption of my own or a host discussion, I have negligible doubt
that the cashing the coupon will record a "trip", with or without
play.
