hijacked planes to Las Vegas?

I agree that the government wants to keep us all afraid, but money is only a small part of it. They want us afraid so they can get away with taking away more of our freedoms in the name of security. I love my country, but I fear my government.

This is getting ridiculous for a VP forum. It is the news media, and local LV officials, that are spreading speculation about Las Vegas as a target, not the national government.

This discussion is probably best moved to the general forum, but I'm
inclined to comment ...

Trust me when I say that as a PA resident I'm no fan of Tom Ridge, and
I'm very distrustful of his management of "Homeland Security".

That said, I can't help but be mindful of the events of 9/11. I think
there's sufficient evidence that the government was acting on reliable
intelligence in it's recent actions concerning Paris-LA flights.

Fear isn't the appropriate response to these events, but mindful
respect of potential consequences is.

Sir, there is very good reason for you to fear Al Qaeda much more than you
do U.S. agencies.
