HET 7 Stars Trip RFB

This may not be news to some 7 Stars but here it is anyway: When we sighed about having to plan another $500 dinner after being given multiple dinner offers at various HET casinos, our Casino host offered up an excellent idea. We could choose to take our trip to Cherokee, NC and shop in both of their gift shops and charge the $500 RFB comp to our room instead of the dinner. Since we are both 7 Stars, we could spend $1,000. ( we tried to also use our $500 x 2 Celebration Dinner comps but HET would not allow it)

I quickly called around and discovered NOLA (New Orleans HET would do the same). We chose Cherokee because they had a $3,498.00 Tanzanite Ring with 14 diamonds on a 14 WCT gold ring marked down 60%. We paid the difference of approx $399 plus tax and took the ring. The ring was later appraised for over $2,000. We are both happy with the purchase and much healthier having avoided the Steak and Wine. They also reimbursed our gas receipts to drive to Cherokee. Happy shopping if you have steak and wine coming out your ears!!

If u both are 7 star why did u only take 1 trip sense u both could of had one and took the other?
And sinse u were entilted to airfare plus transfers for both bet they were happy to pay for your gas

I see your point....time was against us since we did not plan far enough in advance. You are right though...we could have squeezed a little more out of the comp by using both our RFB comps of $1,000 total on the ring and then taking the other trip and using our celebration $500 comp for dinner during the trip. Thanks for the insight.
