A while back I posted a message wondering if VPW was
actually "random". I had lost one thousand credits almost
instantly in a rather dramatic drop. Well, started with 500
credits. Played about twenty sessions of about forty five minutes
each (this is a guess) I have not had a negative session yet! I
practice for the fun of it but I cannot believe that this program is
"random".
I'll stress that only one of the Training Style settings (Difficulty:
Mixed) involves a random deal.
All other settings strive for hands with hold combinations having a
given selection challenge vs alternate holds in the hand. For
Beginner and Intermediate modes this mechanism results in dealt hands
predominantly having a "positive" EV, and your credits will tend to
climb without fail during practice.
