Hey Gang, I need some advice. I have a chance to reach Platinum status
at Station's with 19,000 more points by the end of the month. I live in
San Diego and have one more trip this F,S,&S. My questions are, what
would be the best games to play, do point multipliers count, and are
the Platinum benefits for out-of-towners worth it? I am a 25c player
with a $1,000 bankroll. Any replies
appreciated.

If you need 19,000 more points that means you need to put through
$19,000 coin-in on the <100% VP or $38,000 on the >100%. Point
multipliers do not count towards the level.
That a lot of coin-in for your level of play and your bankroll.
FPDW is the "best" game when looking at payback percentage.

If platinum gives u better cash offers then may be it is worth it. To reach this using optimum play machines where $2 = 1 point you would have to play quite a while, especially at the quarter level. I don't know which station you are going to but will use the Palace as an example. Thye have 50 cents BP with reversible royals thus not a bad play for comps and getting the 19,000 points you want -volatility may be problematic -see if they 8/5 BP with reversible royals and 19 hours of play you have your platinum status. If u are big in to shows and special events and the higher discount at the buffet due being paltinum is meaningful may be it's worth it??? For me it is hard to justify playing BP at 99.2% or BP even with Seq for 99.6% when there is 2222 at 100.7% but with offers of $$$$$ and comps related to total action that 99.2% or 99.6% thrown in with cash back offers, free rooms, and comps doesn't look so bad. I know that Palace Station put their optimum play machines
in an area far from everything else, a low ceiling, often hot, and with a lot of exposure to chimneys and their fumes nearby. I am sure this was deliberate. There is a compromise is volatility doesn't bother you. They have 5 cent/10 cent/25cent triple deuces (99.92%) but with a $1,000 bankroll playing above the 10 cent level (they are 10 coin machines) endangers your bankroll severely and even at 10 cents has its risks. Th eonly other suggestion is find a progressive that is positive or close to it from a game that isn't too volatile.
