Sadly, it's actually several stories... One at Chang's (strip location) where they would only seat us at a booth that had a big tear down the middle of the booth (even though they had other booths available). At the other Chang's (on Decatur), they refused to seat us in the main room with the asian customers -- they put us with the other anglos in a side room (probably used for banquets) and they wouldn't take the dim sum carts into the room. The one fellow who spoke English told me that I could order whatever I wanted (as long as I ordered in Chinese) and that a server would find a cart in the other room and bring it to me. Nice, huh? Then, there was a time at Royal Star (n the Venetian)...
I always try to treat people with respect, and it bothers me when anyone faces discrimination.
I'm usually willing to put up with bad service if the food is good enough, but not at those places!
