I play Loose Deuces between 100.10% and 100.15% on WinPoker.
However, when holding 1 deuce, 3 STFL (Open, 2-67s to 2-9Ts) seems to
be my problem area in this game. VPSM indicates to hold the 3 STFL
Open over the lone deuce but WinPoker shows this not to be true a
good part of the time. I know flush and straight interference come
into play but I can't seem to figure out a good rule of thumb which
would help me to recognize the correct play the majority of the
time. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
Help with 3 STFL Open vs. holding 1 deuce in LD
I don't mean to sound condescending, but are you comparing the same version of loose deuces on both programs. Loose deuces with a 10 coin payoff for the st. flush will have you keep the 3 card open st. flush, but versions with the 8 coin st. flush will not have you keep the 3 card st. flush.
Regards
A.P.
