Having purchased the VPW, I will say it is a very good game from a
graphical standpoint. Still exploring all of its features. Some of
which I have questions that are listed below. I have numbered each
topic, so if you want to only respond to a particular question, that
would be a good way to reference it.
Going to the Analyze game, then bankroll, I am using 25c NSUD in my
example. I am using a stake of $250, and a Profit cut off of $2000,
and finally, running for 2400 hands. Doing so, I get answers for
the probability of Quiting with the $2000 profit, Of continuing
playing, of being ruined, chance of profit, and chance of loss.
Those all seem quite forward.
Question 1. Below the graph are two sections. One is
entitled "Calculator" and one is entitled "Bankroll Calculator"
The top row of the "Calculator" has # of hands = 1, Standard
Deviation of 5.0774 and also 25.3871. What is the 25.3871? The
pop up say it is "This is the standard deviation of the player's
revenue" What does that mean, and how is it calculated.
On the second row it has Variance of 25.7803 and also 644.5067.
Again it say it (the 644.5067) is the variance of the player's
revenue. What does that mean and how is it calculated
Continuing on the second row under "Calculator" is a box entitled #
of game outcomes. The number 10 is always in the box and cannot be
changed. It gives the option to check off "Show", but I do not see
where that does anything. Any help here?
Question 2. If I go to 50 play and put in 10 hands, the analyze
game, again 25c NSUD, there is NO OPTION to do any bankroll
calculations. Is this the way it is, or is my computer not
functioning properly? If it is functioning properly how would this
be different than doing a 3 or 5 or 10 play machine choice other than
each number of hands would have to be calculated each time. I guess,
what I am saying is if it is truly missing and not a mal-function of
my computer, then it seems like this would be a good change for
future editions of VPW
Question 3. If I go to say 3 play 25c NSUD the STD DEV per coin is
now 3.2592 and 48.8884 per in the players revenue. Can someone tell
my why the Std Dev per coin is different, a referece or something how
it would be calculated, and likewise for the 48.8884 Similarly the
variances are different than the single line game, same question.
And now the "# of game outcomes" now show 139 with the opportunity
to check of "show" Again I do not know what this is supposed to
show, nor see any difference when I check it off. Any help
appreciated.
