Help on LVH $400 promotion

I am planning a quick trip to LV next week. Anyone participate in
the LV Hilton Big Splash promo with 400 in "promotional chips" being
distributed every other night? It started on July 29. I like the
Hilton. Fancy as Bellagio - no. Convenient - yes. Pick 'Em at the
dollar level - only play in town! Thanks for any input on this
promotion.

(3) $100 chips and (4) $25 chips. Good for one bet only, win or lose.
Even money bets only. True value is a bit less than 1/2 the face
value, or a little under $200. I would play them on the player bet on
baccarat. Worst game to play them on is blackjack....

Banker bet on baccarrat is a little better, even with
the commission.

I agree, but suggested player because no commission has to be dealt
with, making the time spent at the tables less. As a coupon player,
the quicker I can hit-n-run, the more money I make.

If my off-the-top of my head math is correct, I would guess when
playing the (3) $100 chips, the banker bets would be close to being
worth about $0.50 more.

A listmember sent me some information that clarifies this. Assuming
funnymoney chips that are taken on a win or loss, the Player bet IS
the better bet per James Grosjean's Beyond Coupons article. Per the
article, the funny money chart on page 7 shows a value of $44.62 on
the Player bet and $43.57 for the Banker bet with 5% commission.

Regardsless, I was incorrect for suggesting baccarat because craps
(pass line) is better than both of those bac plays at $49.29.

If the LVH will pay 1.5x the funnymoney chip on a natural in BJ, then
playing their (1) stand 17 shoe game (with a $100 minimum) is the
best play, with an EV of $57.98. It's definitely worth asking a pit
critter for clarification on this prior to betting. Be sure to ask
if you can place your own $$ on the table in the event of a
split/double down hand. If not, than the above EV is signficantly
lower since a player only wins about 40% of the hands played.
