Although I understand why the RF cycle for FPDB (10/7) is 1: 48,000
hands (Because we hold 4FL over 3RF), I don't understand why reducing
the paytable for FH and FL in JoB from 9/6 to (an "unplayable") 6/5
increases it to 1:80,000.I read the FAQ's about RF Cycle and "variance" posted on vpFREE and
related links but still can't understand how or why the RF Cycle jumps
from (approx.) once every 40,000 hands to once every 80,000 hands when
the paytable is changed for FH and FL ONLY.It's not that I want to play 6/5 (unless its Tens or Better or High-
Low). I want to understand the math and the strategy changes that
affect the RF Cycle.THe increase in the RF Cycle appears progressive in that 8/5 JoB falls
somewhere in between 1: 40,000 for 9/6 and the 1: 80,000 for 6/5.Thank you in advance for your help.

I am not sure where you are betting your numbers for Jacks or Better.
Winpoker kicks out:
9/6 Jacks 99.54% Royal frequency 1 in 40,391
6/5 Jacks 95.00% Royal frequency 1 in 40,173
****
Now for 10/7/5 DB other hands cut into the royals. Two that come to mind are
three card flushes and inside straights.
