Have I caught a cheater???

I've played next to this lady 3 times in the last week. I talked to
her a little session 1 & I'm not sure she's not short a coupla cards
of a full deck. She's done this all 3 times, but session 2 I was
next to her for about 2 1/2 hours. When she sat down, she has a
bundle of bills in her hand. She inserts a 20 and then continually
cashes out then rite back in. She does this for some time &
eventually plays some, & then back to Ticket out/ticket in. I try
not to pay too much attention to those around me as I don't want my
concentration broke but you gotta notice this. I know twice I've
noticed she had around 300 credits and I don't think has put much in
machine, but she cudda got 4OK. On all 3 sessions she's run the
paper out & at least twice has jammed machines again shortly after
paper replacement.

I don't know what she's doing, but I wonder if the machines will make
a mistake eventually & give her more credits??? I've been tempted
to ask, but I don't think I want to talk to her no mo. I notice her
husband playing & he's not doing that.

I've been tempted to say something to casino personnel, but I make
$$$ at these machines & don't want to draw attention to myself any
moree than I already do playing ALOT at this bank.

What harm is she doing??? Well she's holding up a machine when
sometimes it's hard to get an open machine. She's running the
machine out of paper and I'm not so sure she's not doing something
illegal. I can't believe casino people haven't noticed...I think
I've seen her before & apparently this is SOP.

What wud U do???

No, I think you just caught a wacko...

Dont think I would do anything. I have gone in and put 1k or so in
20's and cashed out so I could get 100's for trips. She might just
be a bitter person trying to cost the casino money. Who knows why
people do what they do. I seee people when they are loseing cash

What she’s doing will not screw up the machines just really upset the GSR’s
for having to refill the tickets and she’s also killing trees not so cool.
The only other reason someone would put money and take it out is if they
were trying to get rid of dirty money. It’s a quick simple way to launder
things or like everyone else said shes a wacko.

I think I've seen this woman at the FPDW bank at the Palms. 50-something
Asian woman? Wears white gloves?

I always assumed it was either OCD or superstition. The explanation about
hoping for a clerical error on the ticket sounds reasonable too, although it
would belie a markedly low level of sophistication for someone savvy enough
to play a full-pay game.

I believe I witnessed the same non-Asian couple at the Orleans last
fall. Lady went through the same process interminably, exhausting
paper and causing paper jams. She would play a little bit, then cash
out, and put more bills in. She acted "odd." Male companion was more
normal. Money laundering was the only explanation that occurred to
me. As usual, I said nothing.

Tom

I see this frequently in Atlantic City. I did ask once, and got a
predictably illogical answer - something like, "It makes the machine
think there's someone new playing, so it will pay more."

And....

If these machines are profitable to a skillful player, the last thing
you want to do is get rid of her. 10 to 1 she is a very bad player.
Let her lose so that the casino can still make a profit and keep the
games in tact.

Back in the early days of Foxwoods (before paperless, fills
required), many attendents would make people who cashed out repeatedly
wait an hour or more for fills and if they continued, wait up to 2
hours.. I loved it..

Even if they tipped well?

Sounds good but, if the machines cost the casino money in terms of time
to service the machine ect they may be 86ed,

Thanks for these comments. You've helped me make up my mind. I am
going to say something to someone about this situation (the woman
constantly hitting TITO w/o playing & causing machines to run out of
paper & jam). About a year ago, This casino took out the machines that
had Pickem/let-it-ride & some lottery games> that were almost always
full. I watched a tech checking the screen one day and the best I
could tell he was checking percentage payouts. W/o seeing screen up
close, it appeared that he was pulling up several games & they were all
in about the 93 - 96 number...again, I'm assuming this was payouts. So
these machines (25C) were apparently making $$$, maybe not as much as
they wanted. BUT they were always jamming & causing problems with the
TITO mechanism & causing maintenaince issues. I would have thought
they could have fixed just that part, but, fact is, they were removed.
I asked a non-knowledgable person why & they said the maintenace was
the reason.

Back in the "early days" of foxwoods and plenty of other places, you could indeed "make

an incident just a couple of years ago.... (I think it was discussed here already) on some none
tito machines.

A friend of mine beleived that comps were based on the amount of cash
that you inserted into a machine and not what you actualy bet/played.

This was his interpertation of 'coin-in'.

I wonder if this lady beleives the same.
