south point has $0.25 9/6 DDB Ultimate X, with theoretical optimal
return of 99.87% at 10-play.
if you play standard 9/6 DDB strategy, you won't get within 1% of
optimal. if you run strategies for average current multipliers of 1,
1.5, 2, 3, 4, and 10, and use whichever of those six strategies is
most appropriate for the current game situation, my wild-ass guess is
that you might be within 0.1-0.2% or so.
i've seen no playable Ultimate X paytable at any station.

Just wanted to mention a few considerations if any of you are thinking of playing Ultimate:
1) Try to find an Ultimate machine with more than one playable game. Sometimes being able to switch games can save you.
2) Bring lots of bankroll. If you play the 25c 10-play you can easily lose $1000 in less than an hour in a bad session. Don't fall into the trap of living in a fantasy world where you expect to be dealt a great 10-play hand with a high multiplier. In reality many hands will have no multiplier at all. And more frustrating is the hand that has the 12X multiplier but you end up with absolutely nothing (i.e. a non-paying hand) to multiply.
3) Don't play Ultimate if you are trying to avoid taxable jackpots and the related bookkeeping. You can end the day breaking even or with a loss but still have gotten several W-2 Gs along the way.
