Harvey's or Harrahs Tahoe

Can anyone offer suggestions as to which hotel is better? Harvey's or
harrahs Lake Tahoe. I was offered a 3 night comp at either hotel and have
read the reports but can't decide which is better to stay at. thanks.

Harrah's rooms are considered the nicest in Lake Tahoe. They're very big, and each has two bathrooms, which is very important if you're traveling alone and like a little variety, or if both you and your traveling companion always have to go at exactly the same moment.

Harvey's rooms are plenty nice in their own right. They're fancier, but smaller, and have only one bathroom apiece. Those cheap bastards.

Some time ago, Harrah's bought Harvey's, and the casinos are connected by a tunnel underneath Highway 50. The casinos share marketing space, which can be a little confusing when you're trying to figure out where a restaurant or show is (You'll see a poster for Coco Havana club in Harrah's, for example, and they're not real clear about the fact that it's actually across the street). They also share some portions of the casino, like the poker room and sportsbook, which are in Harvey's, but are meant to serve both properties.

Either way, you'll get a good room with either a lake or mountain view, and you can't beat that.

The tunnel between the casinos has been there for over 20 years, long before Harrah's ever thought of buying Harvey's. If you are in it during a California earthquake, you have the experience of a lifetime. I know of another one just like it in Anchorage, Alaska and I have enjoyed the earthquake experience in both.
