does any harrahs property in lv at .25 to $1 have any playable games to
run off points to keep diamond card. Jean Scott mentoned in her article
that they had good games. I have seen that they have taken them all out
caesers had 3/5/10 play 25c multi denom 9/6 job and nsud harrahs had
dollar 9/6 jacks rio had 98.9% 25/15/9/4/4/3/2 5 play deuces all gone.
do we all give up our cards?

In my today's Frugal Fridays, I was talking about Harrah's properties in Atlantic City, not Las Vegas.

However, if you want to find particular games in Las Vegas (or in any other U.S. locale), you need to do as I mentioned in the article about our advance planning. Go to the database right here at vpFree and find a list of good games at each casino, which also includes the very helpful information about specific location - which saves a lot of scouting time.

Things have changed around Vegas in the last few years.

Harrahs barely has anything playable below the $5 level, and even then
you will probably earn ZERO bonus credits playing them. Actually, the
$5 full-pays are pretty much drying up as well. Your quarters will
probably be more wisely invested far, far away from the Strip. But
check the database for all your options.

Just a point...

Bonus credits do not count toward "diamond".

But, I agree, there is just about nothing above 99% left at the LV Harrah's properties, with
or without bonus credits, at the quarter or dollar level (and maybe at the $5 level as well)
It does look grim at the present.

My wife any I take an anual day trip to Laughlin (playing 50 play 9/6
JOB) to get the "Diamond in a Day". Of course the Diamond Card is
realy only useful to take visiting friends to the lounges when showing
them the strip (the Caesars lounge is a nice break between the gardens
at the Bellagio and the Forum Shops.

I thought one could only do "Diamond in a Day" one time and then
need to get the 10,000 points to renew.

Carol

say you do diamond in a day today 10/19/07 it will only be good until
03/08. if you want to keep it until 03/09 you would need to get 10,000
base points by 12/31/07.

Technically that's true. But Harrahs sometimes looks at other factors
and can and will extend Diamond status based on unpublished criteria.

In one case a year or two ago I was Diamond and lost money early in
the year. I didn't return at all to any Harrahs property to requalify.
Harrahs still sent me a Diamond card the following year with a letter
stating that even though I didn't meet the requirement they were
keeping me at Diamond level anyway.
